Player Registration Evenings

The club will be holding player registration evenings on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th July, 7-9pm, Boreham Village Hall.

Players will need to bring 2 identical passport size photos, club and league registration forms and the annual registration fee.

Sunday Morning Football Club

Following on from the success of the recent Essex County FA sponsored School Club Link (3 lions FC), we are now running Sunday morning training sessions for boys and girls aged from 5 to 7 years of age (School year 1 and 2). These sessions will allow new players to start playing football in a fun, no pressure environment.

Training is held each Sunday, 10am at Boreham Recreation Ground. First session is Sunday 11th July. The cost is just £2 per session payable on arrival. All coaching is carried out by FA qualified coaches with Emergency Aid and Child Welfare certificates and valid Enhanced CRBs. All equipment is provided, players should wear shin pads and bring drinks with them.

Well done to both Boreham Village Under 13 Teams – winning both of the Focus Ferrers Tournament U13 trophiesBoth the Under 13 and U13 Tigers won their tournaments beating Bicknacre and Chelmsford City in the finals.

Under 12s League Champions

Congratulations to Boreham Village Under 12s who have won the Chelmer & Crouch Youth League Division 1 title.

This year’s competition went down to the wire with the title only being decided in the 58th minute of the 24th and last match of the season!

Under 15 Tigers reach League Cup Final

Congratulations to the Boreham Village U15 Tigers on reaching the League Cup Final, winning the 2 leg semi-final 9-4 on aggregate.

Final will be at Burnham Ramblers on May 9th 2pm kick off.

Boreham Village Youth FC awarded FA Charter Standard

We are pleased to announce that Boreham Village Youth Football Club has been awarded FA Charter Standard, only 15 months after the club was formed. The Charter Standard Scheme is best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League.

We must thank all the coaches, players, parents, sponsors and supporters for their help in getting the club to this stage so soon.

There will be a formal presentation of the award by the County FA and all players will be invited to attend.

Chelmer & Crouch 9v9 League

Congratulations to the Chelmer and Crouch 9v9 League! The league has been awarded with FA Charter Standard Status, the first in Essex.

The FA award, which assess a League’s ability to provide a high quality, safe and enjoyable experience against set criteria, was presented to members of the Chelmer & Crouch League by FA Regional Development Manager, Darren Lawrence.

“The League is one of the first in the country to achieve this award and one of only four to date within the East Region,” said Lawrence of the League which bridges the gap between Mini Soccer and 11-a-side.

Boreham Village currently has one team playing in this League and plan for all mini-soccer teams to progress to 9v9 football before stepping up to 11-a-side matches on full size pitches.
